Any day is a GOOD day for a wedding! There is no rule that says you must marry on Saturday or Sunday. According to the 2019 wedding survey, The Knot wedding report states "1 in 5 weddings now takes place during the workweek ". As an event and wedding planner I have personally helped several couples plan beautiful well attended weekdays weddings and the benefits are endless.

The numbers are on your side.

One of the biggest reasons couples choose weekday dates over a weekend is simple math. There is a shortage of weekends when comes to the number of couples who marry each year. 52-weekend divide by the number of couples who marry each year in the greater Houston region which is around 40K, you can see how finding the perfect venue with your preferred wedding date can be a bit stressful.

Big discounts

We can not deny that hosting a wedding on a weekday is less expensive. You could save thousands on your venue by choosing a  Monday-Friday. Vendors who offer services rather than products are also willing to offer discounts for weekday bookings.

Hiring your dream team

The best vendors tend to book up quickly during the wedding season, and if you have your heart set on a preferred vendor choosing a weekday may not only secure your preferred vendor but also save you little money.

Saying I do on your special date

Do you have a milestone event as a couple and would like to say I do on that date, being open-minded about which day of the week you choose can allow you to celebrate your select date without waiting a couple of years before that dates falls on Saturday.

Think outside the square

Weekday weddings are nontraditional, so think outside the box to offer your guests an unforgettable experience. We once had a couple who kicked off the evening with a pre-ceremony cocktail party with passed appetizers after the ceremony guests enjoyed a family-style dinner and jazz band. The possibilities are endless when you let your imagination take over.

Choose a date that works for you and your guests.

There is no doubt there are challenges when it comes to ensuring your guests can take leave from work and study to attend a weekday wedding. Consider weekdays during spring break or summer months. Weekdays during major holidays like Wednesday before Thanksgiving or the few days after Christmas or the day after New Years'.

Our primary concern in all bookings is to ensure a smooth & enjoyable process. You have our undivided attention in hearing out your vision, and our utmost effort towards bringing that vision to reality. We would love to help you plan your day give us a call or send us an email we would info@mirageconroe.com.

With all the changes happening because of COVID-19, couples are asking how to let guests know their new wedding date?

One of the simplest ways to let guests know to notify your guests is to update your wedding website.

If you are looking formal announcement to send to your guests Minted offers a beautiful selection of Postpone and Change the Dates cards that can be personalized; they also provide FREE recipient addressing, don't forget the stamps!

Minted is currently offering a 25% off ENGAGED25 discount. If you miss the cut, please feel free to use our couple's WEDPLASPLENDID for a 25% discount.

Etsy is one of my go-to resources for signs, invitations, and announcements; the possibility is endless. Most creative on Etsy offer a downloadable or digital option that allows you to personalize specific details, names, and dates.

Feeling creative Canva offers a free option or monthly premium subscription which allows couples a selection of templates, upload photos and choose fonts colors and graphics.

Get creative and make it fun; there are many resources online offering design services. I do encourage you to reach out to your local calligrapher or graphic artist to create a one of a kind announcement. If you need a recommendations I highly recommend Le_le_lines or DL Creations.
